It’s always a celebration to see Calefax at Kamermuziek Souvenir, and this time even more so! The adventurous woodwind quintet is bringing along a special guest: Ramsey Nasr. Poet, actor, writer, and a great music lover with a collection of no less than 12,000 classical CDs.

Together, Calefax and Nasr will take you on a fascinating musical journey. From the bizarre Middle Ages, through touching Italian folk music and the rich polyphony of the Renaissance, to deep romance and opera. The journey concludes with Nasr’s great love: the music of the Russian composer Shostakovich – or as Ramsey calls him: "Sjoske."

Accompanied by the masterful sounds and brilliant arrangements of Calefax, this will be an evening filled with stories and music.
