Arvo Pärt 90
The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir brings the works of the famous Estonian composer to life in honor of his 90th birthday. His music is heard all over the world, but rarely as pure as with this choir from his homeland. Since its inception, the ensemble has worked closely with Pärt. They understand his musical world like no one else.
During the concert, you will hear a selection from his most famous choral works. Meditative music, both restrained and powerful at the same time. You will hear among others Magnificat, Sieben Magnificat-Antiphonen, Deer’s Cry, Missa syllabica, and excerpts from the impressive Kanon pokajanen.
The choir belongs to the absolute world elite and is conducted by founder Tõnu Kaljuste. Together, they have conquered great halls such as Carnegie Hall and the BBC Proms, and have received, among other honors, two Grammy Awards for their recordings of Pärt's music.
Seize this unique opportunity to experience the tranquility and depth of Pärt's music – delivered by those who know it inside out.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
