Jams are an important part of freestyle culture because they provide a place to practise outside lessons, rehearsals and battles. Dancers can try things out, respond to the music, watch one another and learn by sharing the dance floor. The Open Jam is also a social meeting place. Some people come specifically to dance, while others stay around the circle, listen to the DJ or meet people they know from the scene.

You do not need to prepare anything or register in advance. Step into the cypher when you feel like it, stay at the side if you prefer, and experience the jam in your own way.
