SPECTRUM: Neurodiversity as a Creative Force
How do you experience the world when your brain perceives, organizes, and connects differently?
In Spectrum , the New European Ensemble invites the audience to listen in on new ways of thinking and feeling.
Composer Bryan Segers has written a compelling new work that makes the sensory richness and complexity of life within the autism spectrum audible. His music weaves sound, voice, and text into a colorful auditory landscape where vulnerability and strength go hand in hand. The spoken fragments are based on conversations with neurodiverse Dutch individuals and, together with the music, form a layered reflection on perception, communication, and identity.
The evening will be presented and introduced by Mike Boddé.
In Spectrum neurodiversity is not a diagnosis, but a source of creativity – a different way to experience, understand, and share the world.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
