Originally created for public space in Perth, this work explores how people and communities deal with difference, conflict and connection. Performed by fourteen young female dancers, Manifest is about protest, love, emancipation and solidarity, but also about the courage to approach one another with respect and openness.

Drawing on their own identities and experiences, the dancers search for connection. Confrontation is not presented as a struggle to be right, but as an opportunity for insight and understanding. Through movement, space emerges for vulnerability, support and empowerment, as well as for the transformative power of the body.

Presented in the public space, in the midst of the city’s everyday life, Manifest takes on a new meaning. A compelling and timely performance that invites encounter, reflection and dialogue.
