Between Future and Tradition, An Ode to the Fanfare

This edition of the ‘Surprising Encounters’ concert is dedicated to the fanfare. Before the interval, Fanfare Aurora Heesch, conducted by Geert Jacobs, will perform a delightful programme, and after the interval, the stage will be taken by the project fanfare orchestra Triple F Collective, conducted by Frenk Rouschop.

Fanfare is part of our musical heritage, which is why conductor and musician Frenk Rouschop has brought together the finest fanfare musicians from the Netherlands and Belgium to form the Triple F Collective. This project orchestra aims to set an example by promoting wind music. They collaborate with the vocal ensemble Carmina Viva from Sankt Vith and perform symphonic and brass band repertoire by the Dutch composer Harrie Janssen and the Belgian composer Klaas Coulembier.
