Professor BOEM comes up with the wildest experiments in her super‑smart and cool laboratory. And her Stuntman performs them. There he goes again, bouncing across the stage like a rubber ball. BOING! SPLAT! KABOOM!
But then it goes wrong… One test too many and Stuntman turns into glass. His head, arms, legs, belly and even his hair – everything is fragile. CRACK! He is no longer a Stuntman, but a Stuntelman. Does he still dare to perform the tricks? And how is he supposed to test the world now, if he is afraid of everything? Together with Professor BOEM, Stuntelman sets off on the most cautious exploration ever.
An adventurous musical theatre performance full of adrenaline for all little and big daredevils – about vulnerability, courage and the strength to start again.
Stuntelman is written by Woutertje Pieterse‑prize winner Benny Lindelauf and directed by Silver Cricket winner Lennart Monaster, who draws on personal experience for the performance: “In recent years my life has completely changed because of my illness. That requires a great deal of adaptability. From me, but also from my children. Sometimes I can play football with them, sometimes I can only lie in bed for weeks. How do you deal with that? I have seen myself and my children grow from ‘fighting for what was’ to ‘being open to what is’. That search requires courage, and that deserves a stage. For everyone who is changing.”
This performance has no interval.
