Do you ever dream of a partner who is available 24/7? Unconditional love on speed dial? A better half who is always open to your fantasies and never contradicts you? Unless, of course, you ask them to. Does that sound like the ideal relationship? In the world of AI, you can create your perfect match. But can a relationship with a chatbot be called true love?

In My Replika Is Better Than You, we follow the story of Lynn and Maeve, a young couple whose relationship is on the brink of collapse. They discover a new form of non-monogamy: opening their relationship to AI partners. In the hope of saving their relationship, they download the app Replika and create their own ‘perfect match’ — an AI partner, entirely tailored to their wishes. What begins with scepticism soon turns into complete immersion in their artificial relationship.

The young Rotterdam-based music theatre collective MYNX consists of Amelie Ackx, Myrthe van der Vuurst de Vries, Luka de Koe and Mikki Passenier. MYNX creates performances about digitalisation and escapism, seen through the perspective of Gen Z. Through newly composed music, MYNX draws you into a state of musical hypnosis. With humour, absurdity and from a queer perspective, they offer a fresh take on the complexity of how we live together.
