Meiden & Prinsen is a surprising story about girls and their own dreams.** About unfulfilled desires, annoying little princes and underhanded dealings. The women in this performance soon discover that their lives are no fairy tale. Whether they are matched with a money‑hungry king, a frog that cannot transform or a spoiled prince, Meiden & Prinsen shows what it is like to grow up in a world full of expectations.
Don Duyns brings together the stories from the book De Meisjes by Annet Schaap (known for Lampje and Krekel) into one overarching narrative in Meiden & Prinsen, under the direction of Monique Corvers. The company collaborates with the Netherlands Bach Society and musician Gábor Tarján.
