Broos

Verkoop v.a. 23 May 12:00 uur

If you have an eye for everyone,
who sees you then?

Sometimes suddenly everything is different.
On the outside and on the inside.
You blink your eyes and when you open them again,
nothing is as it was. Never again.
Everything has a different colour, a different scent, a different rhythm.
A different perspective.

Kyra is an adventurous woman and born for happiness. Together with her husband she has a son and a daughter. Romy, her daughter, is a special girl who needs extra care. And then the balance in Kyra’s life turns out to be fragile.

Broos is a musical, light and moving performance about how you can lose yourself in caring for another. About the invisible world of informal care, in which everyone asks about the person you care for, but rarely about you. Until you no longer do so yourself either. And each time a little piece of you disappears. But what if you collapse? That is not allowed. And so you go on.

Broos shows the beautiful and the profound sides of a care story, inspired by conversations with mothers of a care‑intensive child.
