Gerson Main takes you to a special place: the foyer of a care home. A place he himself describes as “the face of fear”. Here you see how growing older goes hand in hand with loss, but also with acceptance and wisdom.
In Weg van dit feestje Gerson brings a dialogue full of powerful songs and poems together with his band. A musical celebration full of recognition, humour and stillness, connecting young and old.
About Gerson Main
Gerson Main is a versatile theatre maker, musician and songwriter who plays with the Dutch language like no one else. Since reaching the final of The Best Singer‑Songwriter of the Netherlands in 2015, he has been conquering stages with his narrative songs. He contributed to theatre productions such as Daar Ergens with Akwasi and presented his own performance Ga weg, maar blijf at De Parade. In addition, he wrote music for artists such as Dio and Stef Bos.
In collaboration with Podium Mozaïek
Podium Mozaïek, through its production house, spotlights creators who tell stories that matter. They previously worked with makers such as Gershwin Bonevacia and Babs Gons. Now they join forces with Gerson Main for an emotional and musical theatre performance.
