Rozenboom Invites
Jan Willem Rozenboom is organising a special evening of music, centred around his love of music and friendship. As an experienced pianist and accompanist, he has worked with countless artists over the years, but for this occasion he is inviting two special friends to join him on stage: JW Roy and Guus Meeuwis. It promises to be a warm and intimate concert, in which stories, memories and music blend seamlessly together.
Jan-Willem Rozenboom is a classical pianist. He has now released two Bach albums and one Schubert album, and has played to a full house in the main hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Alongside his classical career, he has also been Guus Meeuwis’s regular pianist and composer for almost thirty years. Together, they have written hits such as ‘Brabant’ and ‘Toen ik je zag’.
Guus Meeuwis is one of the most beloved Dutch singers. He made his breakthrough in the 1990s with the song ‘Het is een nacht’ and has since become a fixture in Dutch-language pop music. His songs, often accessible and relatable, resonate with a wide audience. Meeuwis is known for his energetic performances and his ability to connect with audiences in venues both large and small through his music.
JW Roy is a Dutch singer-songwriter known for his personal and poetic songs, often sung in the Brabant dialect. His music is characterised by a blend of folk, Americana and pop, with lyrics that poignantly depict rural life, love and melancholy. Roy has built up a loyal following and is praised for his authentic style and warm voice.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
