During the Music Film Festival, our Studio is transformed into a cinema. The festival is entirely dedicated to music, featuring documentaries, feature films and music videos from every genre. From classical to schlager, and from pop to rap and Dutch-language music. In our Studio, you can watch the award-winning documentary Summer of Soul.
Summer of Soul brings the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival to life. Featuring remarkable footage and performances that remained unseen for decades, including appearances by Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Mahalia Jackson and Sly & The Family Stone, director Questlove tells the story of a cultural milestone that was unjustly forgotten.
An energetic and inspiring documentary about music, history and the power of culture. A celebration for lovers of soul, funk, gospel and jazz, and a moving tribute to a festival often referred to as the ‘Black Woodstock’.
