Jules Keeris returns to the studio with his second cabaret programme Knegsel‑Zuid, in which he goes in search of who he really is. A village boy in the city and the other way around. Super ambitious, yet also craving rest. A ‘football hooligan’ in the cultural sector. Assertive and doubtful. And now he is also in his thirties: no longer young, but not yet truly an adult.
Knegsel‑Zuid is about the fear of falling between two stools, but at the same time it is an ode to his Brabant roots. Because he is proud of them. For this performance he collaborated with friend and songwriter JW Roy.
Jules Keeris (Knegsel, 1993) is a cabaret performer, actor and director. He graduated with honours from the Academy of Theatre in Tilburg and immediately conquered the cabaret festivals with his first show De Uitverkorenen. In addition to his solo performances he directs theatre productions, acts in plays and TV commercials, and performs throughout the country with the music theatre company De Italianen.
His work is comic with an absurd edge, but always full of joy and compassion for others. A performance by Jules feels like a warm bath, in which there is a lot of laughter. Immerse yourself and enjoy in our Studio!
