For the first time, Egerländer hits and Christmas are being brought together in a single concert programme – “a Christmas tour by Die Egerländer Musikanten has been a long-cherished wish of many Egerländer fans,” says Alexander Wurz, “and we finally want to make that wish come true” Christmas and the music of Die Egerländer touch people’s hearts, which is why Alexander Wurz & Die Egerländer Musikanten – das Original – guarantee a “Silent Night beneath Rustling Birches” with their show “Egerländer Weihnacht”.

For the Egerländer Weihnacht tour, Alexander Wurz & Die Egerländer Musikanten – the Original – have put together a unique programme featuring their greatest hits, solo surprises and Christmas melodies. As an absolute first, their very own “Egerländer Christmas story” and the “Ave Maria” will be performed on stage. The orchestra’s founder, Ernst Mosch himself, released just two LPs of Christmas music.

Alexander Wurz & Die Egerländer Musikanten – das Original made a profound impression on their audience during their anniversary tour, which took in more than 40 sold-out venues. However, the Egerländer Christmas show will only be performed twelve times, in a select number of concert halls, opera houses and theatres. Alexander Wurz promises: “Everyone who loves Die Egerländer will experience a very special Christmas joy during these Advent concerts!”
